Dates to Remember

October 3rd
National Child Health Day

National Child Health Day occurs each year on the first Monday in October. The day recognizes the care and guidance children need to be healthy. Each child deserves to be the healthiest he or she can be. Children require support and opportunities to grow. This day is about supporting children’s health in all aspects from nutrition to mental well-being.

October 10th
WORLD Mental Heath Day

Annually, World Mental Health Day on October 10th raises awareness

and mobilizes efforts to support mental health.

Mental health is a hot topic. This is good news. It means

the stigma for mental health issues is slowly going away.

Mental health issues are finally getting the attention they deserve.

As a whole, we often misunderstand mental health because it is hard to

define. Additionally, mental health includes several areas.

These areas involve one’s social, emotional, and psychological well-being

. Mental health affects thoughts, feelings, and actions. When we have

positive mental health, we handle stress better and our productivity remains

 stable

October 20th
National Youth Confidence Day

Positive role models are vital to developing

responsible, confident young adults. Incidentally, National Youth

Confidence Day, on October 20, encourages us to connect and

inspire today’s youth for tomorrow’s success.

National Youth Confidence Day celebrates the energy, spirit

and potential of young people. The day is an acknowledgment

 of all they will accomplish!
